Overview

TITAN Cement Group is looking for a highly skilled and visionary Head of Power Trading to lead and drive the strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance of the Group’s power trading activities.

Based at our corporate headquarters in Athens, the Head of Power Trading will report directly to the Group Power Director and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, optimizing trading strategies, and maximizing profitability in wholesale power markets. 

Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

  1. Regulatory & Compliance
  • Ensure full compliance with internal policies, energy market rules, and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain transparent records for audits and reporting.
  • Monitor energy policy developments in Greece and represent the company in regulatory fora.
  1. Strategic Leadership
  • Define and implement the Group’s power trading strategy aligned with corporate goals.
  • Identify opportunities in wholesale markets, renewables, and emerging energy technologies.
  1. Operational Oversight
  • Oversee day-to-day trading operations, including execution, portfolio optimization, and real-time trading.
  • Ensure robust systems for forecasting, scheduling, and market monitoring.
  1. Risk Management
  • Develop and enforce trading risk policies.
  • Continuously assess and report risk exposure, ensuring compliance with both internal and external standards.
  1. Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of traders and analysts.
  • Attract and retain top talent; foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  1. Market Analysis
  • Stay ahead of global and regional market trends, regulatory changes, and economic factors.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and technology to inform and optimize trading decisions.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with internal departments (finance, risk, compliance) to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Represent TITAN in industry discussions, regulatory engagements, and with external partners.

Qualifications

Candidate Profile

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field; MBA/CFA is a strong plus.
  • Extensive experience in power trading or energy markets, with proven leadership success.
  • Solid knowledge of power market structures, trading tools, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong grasp of risk management and quantitative analysis.
  • Passion for energy markets, policy development, and economic strategy.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication and decision-making skills.
