Overview

Titan Group is seeking a smart, highly motivated Power Business Development Manager with a power procurement and deals background and strong quantitative skills to join our innovative team. This position will be part of the Power team of the Group and report to the Group Power Director.

Responsibilities

  • Take the lead in maintaining and developing contacts with relevant parties in the countries of Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Serbia (South Eastern Europe – SEE) (e.g. suppliers, developers, trading entities, power generators, central and local governments) with the intention of identifying, evaluating, negotiating and creating business opportunities relative to power generation, power purchasing as well as investment and development of power assets.
  • Be responsible for the power demand consolidation in the SEE in collaboration with the Group Business Units.
  • Build and maintain strong, in-person counterparty relationships and coordinate with all the BUs in the SEE region.
  • Coordinate between different teams internally, different countries and with other market actors as required.
  • Keep track of the relevant regulatory/policy changes in the SEE countries in collaboration with BUs; participation in workshops and presentations of the TSOs on the subject will be required from time to time. 
  • Manage (TSO) tenders: determining the available capacity and the bidding/pricing strategy based on market expertise. 
  • Develop and propose energy management strategies based on the projected power demand curves.

 

Qualifications

Candidate Profile

 

The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or Business, or in a related field of study.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in the energy sector, with a proven track record in originating and developing deals.
  • Strong interest and passion in energy, economic and policy analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and alone.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English is a must.
  • Knowledge of any of the Balkans languages is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Ancillary Services is a plus.
