Overview

TITAN Group is looking for an ACMs R&D Manager – Alternative Cementitious Materials (ACMs) & Standards to join our Group R&D team in Kamari Plant, Magoula, Attica.

 

In this role, you will strengthen TITAN’s capabilities in Alternative Cementitious Materials by identifying emerging opportunities, translating technical insights into scalable solutions, and enabling their adoption through standards, technical evidence, and collaboration across the organization. You will contribute to building a strong pipeline of innovative ACM solutions that support TITAN’s decarbonization strategy and long-term competitiveness.

 

The role involves close collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and industry bodies to ensure technical readiness, regulatory alignment, and effective market adoption. The role will report to the Head of Europe Commercial Growth & Group Innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate emerging Alternative Cementitious Materials (ACMs) and maintain a structured technology radar to support innovation and decarbonization initiatives.
  • Translate market needs and technical signals into testable hypotheses and pilot-ready opportunities.
  • Lead standards and regulatory enablement for ACM adoption across geographies in collaboration with the Quality Council and business units.
  • Conduct technical due diligence on suppliers, partners, and emerging technologies, including startups and innovation partners.
  • Develop and maintain evidence frameworks, qualification methods, and technical documentation to support ACM validation and adoption.
  • Support pilot readiness by defining performance targets, testing plans, and scale-up pathways for ACM solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with GET (New Technologies & Manufacturing Decarbonization) to ensure industrial feasibility and processing alignment.
  • Build internal capabilities by mentoring R&D experts and supporting knowledge transfer across markets.
  • Establish and maintain a network with universities, research labs, and industry partners to accelerate innovation and technology validation.

Qualifications

Candidate Profile

 

  • 15+ years of experience in cementitious materials, cement, SCM/ACM research, or advanced technical roles.
  • Advanced degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with standards and regulatory frameworks (EN, ASTM, or local standards).
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical insights into actionable strategies.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and international environments.
  • Collaborative leadership style with mentoring and capability-building experience.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are considered an asset.
  • Fulfilled military obligations (where applicable).
